Random remote question

I highly doubt it will work, and the only reason I am debating on even trying this is due to mine not wanting to work at times, but I have a remote for the door locks from a kit that I put into my 04 Element before I totaled it 6 months ago. I had bought it a month before the wreck because I got tired of not having one, but my question is, does anyone have any idea if it could be programmed to work with the prelude? I'm just hesitant about just going out and trying it because I don't want to get into the programming mode then my remote that came with the car not want to work, then being completely out of luck. I have changed the battery and all, but this hasn't helped.

Re: Random remote question

After market remotes will not work with Honda's OEM system. Snag one off ebay and program it yourself. Best option imo.

Re: Random remote question

Its not aftermarket, I bought the oem kit for the element, which comes with 2 remotes, I no longer have the element, but still have the extra remote.
08E60-scv-100 is the part number on the box, given that will show up as the whole kit. The directions that came with it lists it as key less entry for civic, accord, element.
