How to get rid of Engine ticking noise! More Questions, Help is appreciated.

Question 1: It was previously turbo charged, could that be the reason? Also I heard I have to put in some extra thick oil or something??

Question 2: Also how should I plug my oil tap that is in the oil pan for the turbo feed?

Question 3: Where to buy good aftermarket suspension for cheap! I bought the car with an aftermarket suspension that is toast. If anyone is selling one in used condition for cheap, please let me know thanks!

answer to q 1. what kind of a tick is it? is it in the top end of the motor or the bottom end? that would help.

q 2. find a bolt that is the same thread as the hole that is tapped in the pan and seal it in some way

q 3. cheap and good are two things that dont go together when it comes to cars. no if you want a good mid grade suspension for you car look into a good name brand set of spring or a lower level ( but not crap ) coil over set up

1. could be that you need a valve adjustment.
3. probably the best, cheapest setup you can buy for suspension is tokico. thats what i have.

Agreed, cheap and suspension dont mix, save some money, do it right, you'll be happier in the end.

Hey,
Thanks for the quick responses guys. Yeah I'l check where the ticking noise is coming from. I do understand that cheap and good dont go together, but this is just my beater/winter/project car. So I guess the best thing would be to look for a used suspension on here. Are those hard to come by? Thanks in advance.

thanks!
But im not soo sure if I wanna try it myself. Il first try and see if new spark plugs will do the trick. And also should I put in 93 octane gas or 91? Thanks in advance.

you can put either or. i believe the car calls for 91 but 93 is ok. sometimes what i do is il mix 93 and 89... just to help offset the price a bit. and honestly, i think i get better gas mileage when i do that then when i use just straight 93 for a while.

I think the owner's manual says to use at least 91 octane.
