Factory Coil Spring Dimensions

What are the factory dimensions for the front and rear coil springs? ID, OD and free length. I've searched the internet and haven't found any results. I'm wanting to know if I an aftermarket coilover spring with a 2 5/8" ID will over the factory shock and seat on the top hat and lower spring perch.

Really? So you want us to just tell you? No actual effort on your part? Besides 45 minutes on the internet?
Ok. Cool. Good luck.

Asking a technical question in the technical section of a internet forum? How dare I.

Actually I've looked for the answer multiple times and on multiple sites. So excuse me for asking the question instead of driving 20 minutes to the junkyard, 5 minutes finding a suitable Prelude/Accord, another 10 minutes pulling the entire assembly, then another hour compressing the spring and dissembling everything just to measure the free length and ID.

So unless you have some information that might actually help answer one of my two questions then go away and stop trolling like a punk. At least my first question was something technical beyond how much HP a CAI will give me or a noise coming from a car at 110 mph....

Re: Factory Coil Spring Dimensions

Sometimes the answers we seek are not as simple as an internet search. I tried offering a viable alternative. Too bad that didn't set well with you. According to you two hours of time spent at a junkyard is too hard.

Bottom line is you sound lazy and then resort to smart @$$ comments, then name calling when you don't get spoon fed.

Take your question to prelude power. They'll love ya for it.

Here's your answer: (For the FRONT coil springs)

Found this on AutoZone.com. Took me a minute or so to find it. They don't list the specs for the rear coil springs, but I Bet O-Reilly does...

FYI... The "correct answer" is actually a question... "African or European?"

Anyways...

Sometimes ignorant responses require an appropriate rebuttal.... Using your amazing logic, I'm surprise you didn't say just call Honda and ask to speak to one of the engineers who designed the car. Unless you have anything of value to add, beyond go to the junkyard, find some random Accord and figure it out yourself, then go on about your business elsewhere.

That's a fairly uncommon question actually considering most spring posts I've found have been regarding lowering/sport springs so I don't see how asking something technical and uncommon is stupid? Glad to hear you spent time in the junkyard finding out, what else did you learn in the junkyard?

Thanks, I don't shop autozone so I would never looked there. I checked the other 3 major part stores and couldn't find anything about the rears. That should be close enough for what I'm looking for.

I learned a lot at the junkyard and a lot of research. But mostly what I learned is don't smart @$$ somebody trying to help you just because you don't like their answer. Bad juju my man.
