Re: starter solenoid?

So what was/is going on?

Describe your symtoms please. So that others with your issue may know it's not x or y, but that stupid imobilizer...
Imobilizes the car from the owner, but not thieves.

Just for reference, the starter motor and solenoid are combined. Easy to swap out, though -- it's right there in the front of the engine compartment.

Ok... so, I have both problems... when I put the chip key in the ignition, sometimes the green key light on the dash does not light... like it doesn't when you put in a spare that is not chipped, I have one to unlock the doors. But, if I take the key out and re-insert it a few times, turn the ignition on without starting the car, the green light eventually comes on or blinks... and then it will start... except for twice now. When it doesn't start, and the green key light is ON, it simply won't turn over, just a slight click, even though the battery is charged enough to run the a/c and lights full power.
