Distributor Rotor Screw size?

I was doing a ton of overdue maintenance on my prelude. As part of that, I got a new cap and rotor. I went to remove the rotor and the screw head stripped out. It is one of those semi spherical "button" screws.

I have an idea of how to get the screw out, but it will probably damage the screw. I will most likely need a new one, plus I'd like to get one of those bolt/screws so that in the future I can just use a socket on it.

Does anyone know the thread size, and where I can get one? Hoping I can just go into a local hardware store.

Re: Distributor Rotor Screw size?

Your best bet would be to just remove it carefully and compare sizes and threads.

Re: Distributor Rotor Screw size?

Those screws were not one of mr Honda's best ideas.

I read Summit and Jegs sells 'allen' head screws for the 'accel' and other hi-po products.

I bought a rotor at advance that came with a new (non brass) screw. BDM brand if memory serves.
