Icon5 5th gen Prelude headlights

I hit some debris on the free way and broke one of my 5th gen prelude headlights. The dealer wants $400 for an original yet i can find a pair of projectors out there for half that.

I want to keep it looking stock so nothing too crazy. What are my options? Which headlights are the best?

Re: 5th gen Prelude headlights

I think I got stock from Majestic and they were $200 for the pair but I will check. It's easy to do yourself, either way. I followed a YouTube video posted by a HID manufacturer. Drop the bumper and take off the grill then swap, took me 30 minutes and I was moving slowly.

Re: 5th gen Prelude headlights

Wow - 382 was the price online presently. Damn. Certain I didn't pay that but will go check. That said I just replaced the fuel lines and Honda doesn't have those anymore...

Re: 5th gen Prelude headlights

Yep leroy, they were $99 ea last time I checked. Could've gone up though.

Depo has a set for $250 or 300 that look identical to oem. I forget the model #. But when I saw my son's oem looking were depo I was taken aback. They look just like oem. Bulbs and all.

Re: 5th gen Prelude headlights

I would create a watch list on ebay for stock headlights, then just keep an eye out for some. People are always upgrading to aftermarket, and they usually sell off their old headlights on ebay.

Re: 5th gen Prelude headlights

I purchased one set of depot on ebay, had to return them they leaked so bad and one would not adjust.
The set that they sent after returning were better, but not perfect. One still clouds up after washing car, but be damn if I am taking off the bumper again to swap headlights!
