what are the best springs for performance with koni yellows

Hi! I'm planning on buying a 1999 prelude soon and the guy says it just has a Megan racing exhaust and is lowered. I am assuming it is lowered for cosmetic reasons only. What are the best performance springs to go along with koni yellow's for a 5th gen?

Ground control, Tokico blues, and Skunk 2 all make great springs for our cars! Or you could buy some coilovers. Just search theres a million threads about this.

Tein, bilstein, koni, eibach.... imo theres no "best springs"...theyre just brand name - good springs

You already have the Koni Yellows, might as well pony up and get the GC springs to go with them. It's an excellent setup.

Re: what are the best springs for performance with koni yellows

The koni yellows are good for a street setup. Spring brands don't matter as much (you get what you pay for though) but the spring rate is important. There is a comparison thread here Spring Rate Comparison Chart - Honda Prelude Forum : Honda Prelude Forums

I have Tein Superstreet coilovers which use 450f/220r lb/in springs and they're about as hard as I'd go for the street, and they can still hold their own on the track. A pretty common setup is to run the GC sleeves with Eibach springs at 600f/390r lb/in but I suspect the dampers would be wound down in this case to save shattering your spine.

You can order custom spring rates through GC, not sure about the others.
