Hey there PZers!
just picked myself up a 5th gen SiR, needs a little TLC but I think she's gonna be just fine, pictures soon to come when I figure out how to post pics properly from my album! H22a under the hood close to bone stock and rocking an oem lip kit, from where I originally started off with a beat up civic wagon (the orthia), swapped for a beat up manual integra DA9, then swapped for this beauty. This my friends is a hustle you wouldn't believe...

Awe yeah. Once you feel the H motor pulling the B motor seems... lacking.
I love the looks of the 3rd and it's handling finesse. But that dawg gone H22 kept reeling me back in until I couldn't fight it anymore.

Congrats man. Can't wait to see the pix. Don't know if the Zealand has tons of upgrades for the 5th like the US, but you certainly should have an easier time fiinding parts than with your 3rds.
Here though there's virtually none in junkyards. Most are still going it seems.

this the "217"hp one right? She'll rip good.

And depends what the B series is in...most cases anything USDM its a dog unless CRX, 1st gen Teg, EF/EG hatch, Del Slo. Then its the most fun for the $$$

Drove a B16a2 2050lb EF hatch, so similar set up as the JDM SiR EF civic hatch. It ripped just as good as a healthy H22A Lude. (Butt dyno ftw)

Might be taking a B16B EG6 SiR (genuine, RHD imported from Japan) for a spin see how it stacks up, maybe even work out a deal for it depending how I like it.

8500 redline + 100-and-change lbs of torque - will be revving for daaaaays. lol

H22A's are nice engines.

Besides, he traded in for a beatup integra, that's pretty cool.

And I think that oem lip gives it that edge eh stands out on the street where I'm from, I plan on projector headlights (I don't car what anyone says) and I also plan the get the altezza black tail lights too, will probably keep original colour for some years. And wheels.

But there's one problem......

It's an auto on its way out, the gear 4 flashes when it's cold and stays in 4th gear, which sucks. But after a painful hour of driving slow as hell the gearbox perks up to work perfectly fine again. Giving relentless power with the greatest of ease. It is a fast car and the vtec reminisced me of my first prelude, but obviously a higher spec version and clean as hell. I LOVE VTEC. But yeah first things first is to find a good right up on a manual swap that I can do over a weekend sometime in the next couple months, I'm also starting an auto engineering course so ill get the knowledge rather soon.

But yeah lemme know what you think, worth a beat up DA9 manual lowered?

I'd do it again without thinking about it yo

You may want to clean the screens in the shift solenoids. They are prob clogged from the metal shavings the trans is producing. It wont "fix" it but it will help for now.

Are you familiar with Jankuyado? It's (he's?) an NZ junkyard that deals with JDM cars. I've ordered JDM parts from them on ebay. Maybe you could find a manual swap from somewhere like that...
