98 H22 A4 Smoking

What you guys think? I checked compression and all cylinders have 190 psi and all the spark plugs are nice and dry. This is my sons car and it seems to burn a little oil between changes which ive heard is normal for the H22. I noticed some blue smoke coming from the tail pipe as he was pulling out of the drive the other day , not alot but some . if the plugs are nice and dry but its burning some oil what do you guys think. Thanks for the help.

More like pull the head off, since the seals are on the bottom of the head.

Re: 98 H22 A4 Smoking

I may be wrong but all the domestic heads ive messed with, the valve stem seals were on top of the guide not on the bottom of the head, so i think you could pull the cams, pump up the cyl and remove the valve spring retainer and change out the stem seals. Is this CORRECT .
