new prelude owner help please.

hey all im new here and i have a problem, i have a 98 base model with a h22a swapped in, automatic(its on its way out, i know all about how these are junk its getting swapped soon) and only slightly riced out by the previous owner but im fixing that too. it had some minor wiring issues which is why i got it. but the problem is that the rev limiter cuts in btween 6500 and 7000rpm and i cant figure out why, i know it should rev higher than that, is my tranny to blame?

Re: new prelude owner help please.

Do you have the parts for the swap yet?

I wouldn't push the tranny that hard unless you don't really care if it blows and/or if you got another car as a DD..

Re: new prelude owner help please.

i have another auto to put in if this one goes, and im not doing it constantly it actually took me a couple days to figure it out, someone told me that its in limp mode because of the cel being on, im now convinced someone botched the h22a swap and now i have to set it straight. now this is where im confused should my 98 have an external coil or no? also if the oil pump is the jdm unit with no sensors should i swap the pump or the dizzy? please keep in mind the motor is in car so im leaning towards the dizzy option.
