Leather Interior

I just picked up my second 5th gen and I am in love. My favorite part so far is the leather interior. So my question is do some american preludes come stock with a black leather interior? Or was this done by one of the other dudes that drove this car before me?

I'm very happy either way.

Re: Leather Interior

It was a dealer installed option, like the OEM spoiler on the base model cars. It could also be an aftermarket job, by a previous owner.

Re: Leather Interior

Pix or it didn't happen.

Welcome aboard.

Be sure to keep that leather treated, especially the seats and areas that get a lot of sun.
Otherwise... crax! Then... rips. EEK!

Tasteful mods are opinion based. Some folks think pink wheels are tasteful. Some dig on big, loud exhausts.

To this guy tasteful means it mingles with the car and doesn't stand out. It adds to the car without really being that noticable.
Examples of what I mean are emblems that either blend it with the cars color or match other parts of the car like the wheels or interior.
Other items could be a bit of chrome in the engine bay, silicone hoses, stainless brake lines or rotors that don't rust... but those are appearance mods. Show car type stuff.

Performance mods would include items to assist the car cutting through the air, help stiffen the suspension or assist the car making power and expelling the exhaust. Those would be hot rod mods.

Many do both.

Re: Leather Interior

Thanks man. Its already lowered has a loud exhaust new wheels and a leather interior that i bought it with so i'm limited on what i can do. i'd like to return it closer to stock, classier less flashy wheels and fix the body damage.

back to topic, i'm pretty sure after looking at pictures of other peoples leather that mine is aftermarket so question answered :P

They were dealer optional. But there were multiple types.

tan leather, black leather, black leather with suede was a foreign option, and I believe there was one other type

Whatever you want. We will give opinions either way so start off with what you like. Once you get started, you will change things multiple times so there is no right or wrong way to start.

unless you're VVVVV this guy. Just avoid ditches and trees.
