Re: New 5th Gen Prelude. Help?

The origional engine has a busted pistion and the steel lining has to be redone. the origional tranny does work. This is an everyday car for me and only car cuz im only 16 haha. I want my car to be fast enough just to show off but not ridiculously fast.

No matter how I word this, it sounds mean...

At 16 you don't need to be showing off in an N/A car, let alone a F/I. The prelude never needed a body kit, even when it was "cool" to have them. Dark days.

My advice is to do the maintenance, go with an I/H/E (cause everything else costs a fortune) and call it a day.

Re: New 5th Gen Prelude. Help?

at 16 lower it and put rims on it. that should push your budget to it's limits. haha

^^ this!!!

Learn your car end to end, top to bottom. Wax it, vacuum it, take it apart screw by bolt.
Learn why your calipers will stick if they don't already. Learn the differences between a base model and a type SH.

And check out the members rides section. Note the little stuff like how a guys master cylider look like new, or the spark plug wires sparkle...

Do all that, and you'll know what upgrades are for you. But you could spend a year cleaning up your car if you do it correctly... at least a year.

Clean it and restore it. Nothing gets bitches more wet than a nice clean interior and waxed paint!
