Clutch engagement point

Hi guys,
I was wondering where everyone else's clutch engagement point is. I have an 01 Prelude Type SH and the clutch engages pretty close to the floor. Its my first manual car, and i'm not sure if that is normal that it engages close to the floor. The previous owner also didn't tell me if the clutch was aftermarket or not.

Re: Clutch engagement point

Same. My '99 base engages a few inches from full depressed.

Re: Clutch engagement point

My 4G engages about half an inch from the top. These things can be adjusted if it bothers you though.

Re: Clutch engagement point

^^ yep.

I had a car the po road coursed and he had the clutch pedal adjusted nearly all the way out for shifting with his left foot while braking. Man that took some getting used to, but was very cool once you got the hang of it.

The car I have now, the po liked to haul @$s red light to red light it seems.
I plant my heel and use my ankle to pivot the pedal in or out. Wears out shoes intead of that precious prelude floor mat.

Re: Clutch engagement point

SH. H22A with Exedy. (Both new to car in Feb.) Pretty low. Took once or twice to get used to it. Love it now. Seems a good deal lower than last clutch in H22A4.
