OEM Body kit ??S

Hi, can anybody tell me what the best brand/vendor to look in to if I want to change my stock black side skirts and tail skirt to the type SH style and add a front spoiler to my car as well??

I've searched all over and find reproduction, would love to find a set already painted factory red... but probably a slim chance of that (unless someone has a set for sale cheap)

thanks!

Your flat black sides and rear are the exact same ones as found on the SH and Type S.

The difference

ready?

They're paint matched. That's it. Just save some money and have them painted.

really?? for some reason the rear on the SH looks like it's more defined and hangs lower. Same with the sides... maybe because they are paint matched they create that illusion of being differently shaped.

I keep seeing these online, is this different than stock?

Re: OEM Body kit ??S

here is what the car looks like now... it's just a beater to get to work, was my wife's old car, figured I'd try to make it look better... but not fully 'rice' it out

any suggestions?

I just threw some wheels on it the other day... now I wanna lower it but not make it ride like ****. 18x8+40mm wheels that rub in the rear when I go over bumps and crap. 166k miles on the car stock shocks/springs.

If I put some of those cheap stagg shocks/1.25" lowering springs from ebay on will it ride a little more firm but not bouncy?

Yeah, it's just an illusion. They are identical and can be painted. Unless you can find a set that is already painted cheaper than your painter can paint them... But as I said - two different reds. 97-98 and 99-01 (i don't recall the exact paint names for each)

Factory optional lipkit. No longer sold new, but are available used. There are many aftermarket replicas out there that are not worth the money.

Cheap lowering springs will make the car drive and handle horribly. It would take a set of coilovers to lower the car properly, which would run you about 600 before paying for installation and alignment.

Looks clean, for being a daily - just keep it clean and enjoy it for what it is. There aren't many good conditioned 'ludes out there.

^^^That is an OEM Optional replica skirt kit (it even says it on the pics). What you have on your car is the base skirt kit. As someone already mentioned, it is the same as what the SH and Type-S have, only they are colour-matched.

So after all that...

Sand them down and paint them and you're good to go.

Re: OEM Body kit ??S

I think I understand what you are getting at. yes your side skirts and rear are oem base option.

the ones of the black car in the picture are REPLICAS of another optional lip kit.

pls dont go with the REPLICA. get the real Honda ones, will take some time to find, but worth it. replicas dont match correctly and if your gonna spend money and have them painted i would spend the money for real ones, or just paint the ones already on your car... thats what i did. painted the base "lip kit"

good luck
