Icon5 obd2 to obd1 question

So I got the p72 off a gsr its obd1 and my question is that when u look for upgrades such as ignition, fuel, and electronic systems ( distributor cap, injectors, and hondata or any electronics of that nature), do u have to search under the ecu I'm using or it jus doesn't matter ? Cause I read about people jus pointing out about them having obd 1 distributor cap, injectors , etc

Re: obd2 to obd1 question

obd1 injectors are peak and hold and a resister box, obd2 are saturated

obd1 distributor has internal coil, obd2 has external

To change either of those, you would need to change your entire engine harness or a bunch of converter harnesses....

What exactly are you trying to do? The parts you mentioned are pretty damn good straight from the factory and in no need of being changed on even the highest bolt on car...
