Re: Roof rack?

My entire kit is pieced together used, mostly all craigslist stuff.
All parts are universal, just different length's/sizes. The only component that's car-specific are the Q-clips. Go on Yakima's site, put the kit together, get the list of parts, and go surfing!

Thule will prolly be similar.

FYI, this is the same exact kit, just different Q-clips.

Re: Roof rack?

The most practical option is to buy a different car. For example, the forrester the gf just bought is an amazing snowboard/mt bike hauler. It has many plus's for example, not looking like a wannabe jdm #selfie racecar driver who mts racks on their car because physical activity

yes, except both thule and yakima discontinued the clips for the prelude, I searched for almost a year for yakima clips and then paid over double for what the MSRP was

eBay? They're all over for $10-20, you just gotta be patient and find the ones you need.

Re: Roof rack?

If you have an REI locally, or any outdoorsy type outlet store that sells roof racks, they'll have a parts catalog you can look through and should have Prelude stuff there. I bought my Thule stuff brand new through REI for my 1995 Prelude within the past two years.

Thule® 400XT - Honda Prelude 1997-2001 Aero Foot Pack (4 Feet)

Re: Roof rack?

idk if anyone is reading this, but im interested in the thule racks, but the fit kit for the 01 prelude (2004) is hard to find. Is there a similar kit that fits snug on my 5th gen?

I was searching on another forum and people have been using the thule shortline roof adapter, but you'd have to still get the 2004 fit kit for the feet huh? I think I just answered my question, but any feedback on this would help me.
