Clutch recommendations?

I want something that is going to LAST. I don't care how mean it is.. I just eant something nice!.. I had a stage 5 competition clutch in my Kouki which was a stock KA engine. I loved that. I honestly could care less about chirping or nasty grabbing clutches. I prefer that over a stock oem clutch. So any ideas?

Re: Clutch recommendations?

If you have nothing done to increase your power output, you should stick with an organic clutch. OEM, ACT, Exedy and Competition are all pretty good. I've also been hearing really good things about Centerforce recently as well.

Why would it be bad to upgrade? I feel like there's no downside.

Why put unnecessary wear on your drivetrain?

Re: Clutch recommendations?

Getting a clutch with a higher torque capacity doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna last longer than any other clutch, it just means it's built to handle a higher load when you're putting stress on it. In reality, it will probably wear out quicker than an OEM/stage 1 clutch and like stated above, it can also affect other parts of your drivetrain negatively. Sure, you may not mind the harsh grabbing and chatter, but your car will..

Re: Clutch recommendations?

Oem spends TONS of money and time researching what works lej. No point installing a clutch flywheel combo for a 500hp car on a car with 200hp.

Hondas don't really need more than a stage 2 rig for daily. You upgrade because factory sucked. LS1 powertrain/clutch combo burns easy, no bite when releasing the hounds lol. Went with LS7 clutch/flywheel.
One happy camper with no change in clutchplay.

The Act clutches have good rep for stage 3-5 kits. But I always give factory dibs on a solution.
