the car that thomas is thinking of is a 4G not a 5th btw. he has recently sold it due to family issues, despite being like 85% done.

if your gonna pay someone to do that kinda swap (RWD + F22/F20c) you could prolly buy about 2 or 3 S2K's for teh amount its gonna cost you.
the honda-tech search is down right now, but trust me, its wayyyyy more work than you can even fathom.

that would be super sick!.. but on the other hand it would cost an arm and two legs maybe another arm too, then it would probably take a while to get complete, also not to mention all the freakin fabrication and customization it would take!.. but i mean if u have the money by the truck loads and the time... u go right ahead and do the d*** thing!

Yeah read up , I was once wanting to do a H22 swap in my 3rd Gen. Then come to find out someone had done it, but had to go with a tubular front frame and heavy modifications. Way to much money for just a H22.

No what I have also heard you can bump the horsepower up as much as you want but without torque it doesn't do a whole lot of good.

I would say it would be alot cheaper to go with a S2000 and mod the heck out of that.

But if you like the drive of the Prelude stick with it. Its a front wheel drive yes but one heck of a ride.

Or get you the S2000 and keep the Prelude have the best of both worlds. Plus I think you would still end up cheaper having both cars and moding both.

Well boosting over 8 psi, I have learned you may want to do a major engine overhaul first, with replacing stock rods and pistons to handle the boost. Stock crank I've heard does rather well compared to other aftermarket performance ones. I would say boost it, but you want your torque to increase along with your horsepower. I also recommend looking into doing tranny work as well as axles and suspension and brakes if you go crazy with the boost. I'm thinking about looking into the Jacking Racing Supercharger for the H22 motor. I think it is a nice easier bolt on application than a tubro system. Plus might have more power with less lag, but I could be wrong. Most of the more modern turbos come with little or no lag anymore.

I too am looking for the most bang for the buck, I'll keep you posted on my findings.

p.s. I looked at a S2000 before I bought my 5th Gen Lude, First time I ever looked under the hood, it suprised me to see the L4 in a rear drive config. To tell you the truth didn't look much different than the H22 really, intake looked the same exhuast same, just alot of room under the hood since it was sitting in it sideways (from what we are used to seeing 4 cyl, I guess I mean long ways) I can see why drifters like them so much now.

I wouldn't mind owning a S2000 just a bit too much for my blood. The one I looked at they were asking $16,000 and it had quite a bit of body damage, front passenger side fender, nicks and dents in both front and rear bumper, all sorts of curb scrubs on the wheels one so badly it needed replacement.

Yeah some things said arent as realistic as people think. A swap like that or conversion is no joke, its no garage job either...most likely you don't even own the tools to start it with hehe, and who ever you're gonna have do it, you better make sure you trust them and trust them to finish and come through because alot of people take on projects that they at the end CANNOT finish because they just don't have the know how...it will be EXPENSIVE! but good luck if you do decide to do it- just don't get there and done and then think "what a waste of money" make sure you really want it

Has anyone ever tried to mount the engine in the rear? It seems like there wouldn't be enough room, but a mid-mount/rear wheel SH would be bad.
