CLUTCH? external or internal?

Hey everyone,

My friend who is a mechanic helped me adjust the foot pedal of my clutch (it was too loose, was not tight like other cars).

Here are the scenarios:

1)I drove it for 1 day and it started to slip, SO I went back for him to readjust it by loosening a bit.

2)I drove the car for 2 days and then it started to slip again.

3)This morning (car still cold), I drove it and even floored it and it was perfectly fine.

If it was the clutch that was out, it does not matter if the car is warm or not right? There is no burning smell. If I can confirm this, then I may have to loosen it more.
