Vibrant custom exhaust setup ?

Listing is for a 2.5" exhaust setup of what I have at the moment:

Vibrant header from rosko
1 magnaflow high flow cat
1 14" vibrant ultra quiet resonator
K-teller pipe exiting through Vibrant flat black muffler.

Question is, Since i have a cat, should i just stick with one resonator or should i double it since the one i have is only 14". (vibrants listing only showed 14") Trying to reduce Rasp and I want to get it done right the first time. I'm thinking it would be okay, but anyone with experience ?

Re: Vibrant custom exhaust setup ?

It's a trial and error kinda thing.

Setup sounds alright to me. Only downside is the ultra quite can only fit up near the catalytic converter, so you don't have any resonators closer to the muffler.

If I were to do anything, it would be to add a regular vibrant resonator closer to the first 90* bend. Only if you're not happy with the setup though.

Yeah, i'll probably just end up doing that... when you say regular vibrant resonator, its the bottle style correct?

Re: Vibrant custom exhaust setup ?

I have a 3" with Magnaflow 'Straight Through' catalytic converter and muffler rather than baffled components. I dunno how the inside of your Vibrant muffler is designed, but even with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet up near my cat, I still get a little bit of rasp at WOT. Really been thinking about adding another resonator right before that bend like Wing said.

Yes, a bottle style resonator.

I feel that a properly sized bottle style nearest the first bend is the best location for a resonator on our cars.

18" long, and the largest center diameter you can fit is what I'd recommend.

Re: Vibrant custom exhaust setup ?

Don't mind me in the video, but here's a small sound clip. I'm pretty satisfied with the sound. Will be looking into a basic tune real soon.

Mods: h22a Type S 11:0 compression.
Vibrant header, kteller pipes, magnaflow cat to vibrant ultra quiet resonator to another vibrant bottle style resonator to a vibrant flat black. All 2.5".

Sounds pretty good. Even in the higher rpm's, hits a good pitch - not too high1

I love my OEM exhaust, wouldn't change it even if someone offered me a "free setup" like the one in the video.

very welcome.

that exhaust in the video sounds ok in the mid range but in the high range, it sounds like crap. (maybe another useless post but I'm just pointing out a fact)
