2000 prelude electrical light problem

Here we go again. My sons 2000 prelude is at it again. He got out of work tonight ,and the signal light and brake light in the rear as well as the dash lights don't work. And the tail lights. the flasher goes really fast on the dash when you turn it to the left signal light. front works but flashes fast. rear does not. last time it was the c980 connector. so we got under there and start wiggling and the dash lights and tail lights work now. but this time the signal in the rear and the brake light aren't working as well as the upper park light or whatever that is over the signal light. wtf do we do? this is a random thing. last time was few months ago. and I forgot. I tuned on the hazards and they Both worked fine on the dash as well as the front but still no rear left blinker.

Re: 2000 prelude electrical light problem

Have you checked the bulb in the rear?

Have you tested voltage in the tail lights?

One thing at a time, test the exterior lights and then move onto interior lights.

A consistent flash typically means one of the bulbs is bad on that circuit - or the flasher relay is possibly bad.

Re: 2000 prelude electrical light problem

Ya bulbs look fine. also replaced the blinker light with new bulb and no diff. got to be a short or something back there. last time this happened I was playing around with the bulbs and there was a spark and then all the lights worked again, besides the dash lights and tail lights which came on by wiggling the c980 connector. just don't know if the two are related or if they are two separate problems. last time it just fixed itself after we wiggled the c980 connector in the fuse box. this time that only fixed the tail lights and dash lights. im going to take the car to work tomorrow where we have a heated shop and remove the light assembly to have a better look. friggin -25 outside and not fun working on anything. and thanks for the reply . ill let you know what I find

Re: 2000 prelude electrical light problem

I've heard of people having issues with the fusebox harness' before. Remove the plug and check for too much electric grease or even dirt in there.
