Rear lip?? If that's what your reffering to, then yes that's correct since most are made for civics and integra. I have a Benen rear hook

I'll probably have to make a custom extension.

Re: Tow Hook

Why? It looks rather good and a bit stealthy to top it off. It's at least usable as is. Don't know if I would trust an extension on it. Unless all your looking for is something that "looks" cool. If that's the case, can't help ya and more power to you.

Re: Tow Hook

That little red "extension" will more than likely rip off the moment the car is towed by it.

Ontop of damaging your rear bumper once it starts to move.

Those things are visual upgrades only, doesn't do anything else besides "look cool"

i'm with this. I like the look of the tow hook, but last summer we would have Fitness Bootcamps outside and the tow hook was my anchor for my rope workouts, pretty cool. thats why I actually purchased it

Hey, if you want to track your car then go for it regardless of what modifications have been done. Its the only legal place to realize the true potential of our cars!

Exactly. Just make sure your car is in good condition and hit the track! Seen plenty of stock cars at HPDEs (and even some rentals!).

However, not sure I'd even put a "tow hook" like that on a street car. :)

I actually never had a rear tow hook on my track car, but with the new build, I'm using a soft rear tow loop.

Yeah I don't really get the whole fad about tow hooks on street cars... You've never needed one, right?

Re: Tow Hook

We used the front one as a jack point today.

Michaels car is so frigging stiff... you jack up the front wheel and the rear wheel lifts just as high.
We needed to get under the engine so we used the cross member at the tow hook.

Dude, unless you're gonna pull a jon boat, that thing is wasted pounds.
