RPMs low at idle with vibration

Well like title states my car idles low like 500 as i slow to a stop sign and idle. It doesnt die just a rough idle when i give it throttle it vibrates hard but if its at 1000rpm or higher it idles smooth as can be. I wasnt sure what all can cause this maybe.. Plugs, wires, missfire, not enough or to much fuel, dist cap rotor, or what.. Heres what ive got done to my car any info greatly appreciated.

Re: RPMs low at idle with vibration

Im not finding any info in that thread to what mine is doing. That thread from what i under stood was from idle rpms bouncing up and down mine stay down at 500ish once the engine is warm and it stays there vibrating until i give it throttle but if i hold the throttle at 1000 or higher it stays smooth.
Maybe i understood that thread wrong but it seemed as tho that was mainly just a bouncing rpm reving up on its own

You can try checking your throttle cable for slack...
Or...

Maybe check this pdf ^^ service manual.

Mine used to do it. I turned on the climate control to circulatr air in the car and the demand caused it to idle at 600 rpms... no more quivering after that...

Re: RPMs low at idle with vibration

You have a lightened flywheel and stage 3 clutch...and cams... your car will idle lower than most other Preludes and be rougher in the lower rpm's due to clutch chatter.

I hope you have a tune..

Welcome to the hell that is a modified car.

The vibrations are possibly a bad motor mount somewhere. Start checking!

Re: RPMs low at idle with vibration

could be motor mounts, or could be spark plugs, or wires, or distributor, or not enough oil, and hopefully its tuned
