Re: intake

Type S for a stock look.

Or AEM V2.

Any short ram or cold air such as AEM etc is the same as one from Ebay. The two above are the only proven power adders.

but there is nothing wrong with using an ebay intake etc. Looks cleaner than stock - but don't be fooled by a name giving it a higher price than what it is.... a bent tube...

(I personally use a custom one btw)

Re: intake

The stock intake and a K/N filter. Honda engineering did this one right!

Re: intake

^^ agreed. For the money, that's an unbeatable combo.
True cold air intake. They put little corners and bends in areas to create a swirl effect for better input as well. Can't get that from a whale pecker.

There's charts, graphs and threads galore on this topic. But the motor likes cool air from the outside better than hot air from inside the engine bay.

Re: intake

The AEM V2 and Type S are overhyped and a waste of money. Over stock the AEM gains roughly 1hp and 2tq, not bad but for the price of the intake it's terrible. Type S gained nothing and lost 1tq.

I have a CAI and I didn't notice any improvement from the stock intake, Im pretty sure there's no gain cause our cars suck at getting power from just a intake.
