Less then 40 offset

5th gen,...
Looking @ sum wheels,...
16x7 with 35 offset, based on Recommended Tire size & Offsets! anything less then 40 offset is "Not Recommended".
I can't see that 5mm (which is equivalent to 0.19 inches) would make that much of a difference!?!? But it's obviously there for a reason, not sure if rolling the fenders would simply solve this issue?

Anyone running less then 40 offset, help, advice please!

Re: Less then 40 offset

I am running 225/35/18 with a 35 offset. The rear wheels are right on the line of the fender if you look from the top of the fender down. The front is maybe sticking out +- 5 mm. I have no problems with anything touching or rubbing, but then my Lude is still stock on the ride height. Someone else might give you better advice if the car is dropped.

Re: Less then 40 offset

You shouldn't have a problem running those specs dependent upon the tire size you choose. Rolling your fenders will help.
