IAB Check valve - where is it located?

Hi everyone. I was having some idle problems: see here
http://www.preludezone.com/new-membe...7-prelude.html

After some poking around and help from forumers (thanks static and bykfixer), I was able to determine that it was due to a disconnected vacuum port on the rear of the intake manifold.

Looking at page 11-8 of the helms, it's supposed to be connected to the IAB check valve. Would anyone know where it is? Thanks!!

Re: IAB Check valve - where is it located?

I tried backtracking from the diaphragm to the solenoid, which I think I was able to do... then from the solenoid it's really hard to get to the check valve, it's way under the intake manifold.

Is it safe to just block that vacuum port for now just so I can get it smogged ?

It's a common issue for the line going to the plastic nipples on the IAB box to break off. Be cautious.

Yes, you can simply take a short line to the diaphragm and block it off with a 10mm bolt.

Same goes for the nipple on the back side of the manifold closest to the brake booster.
