Bb6 H23a "blue top" swap motor mounts

I just recently bought my first car, a 97 prelude h23a swap.
I've been looking online and I can't seem to find motor mounts for my motor.

If anyone could send me a link for some it would be appreciated.

Re: Bb6 H23a "blue top" swap motor mounts

well, if your having trouble finding them engine specific when searching, then try searching them for the accord sir wagon, which is where the h23a engine came out of.

If you have a bb6 then the h22 motor mounts should work just fine as it is still an h series

Re: Bb6 H23a "blue top" swap motor mounts

@projectprelude would the same mounts work for a prelude ?

@atheari are you sure? i went to autozone and they had the mounts but they had 2 side mounts and a front mount and i dont even have a front mount

yeah, all the h22 and h23a use the same motor mounts in a bb6. just search for the h22 stock mounts on google or autozone. i would do the innovative mounts though if your looking to make some good power.

Re: Bb6 H23a "blue top" swap motor mounts

If you go aftermarket 75a durometor mounts will apply a bit of a bit sooner but won't rattle your teeth loose.
85... that's another story.....

Re: Bb6 H23a "blue top" swap motor mounts

If ur car is lacking a front motor mount, it's because it was left off when they swapped the engine.
Ull have to use h22 mounts, the h23a vtec was designed for the accord, which I know for a fact uses a different driverside mount,
And your not gonna find an h23 vtec mount in any auto part store in america

Re: Bb6 H23a "blue top" swap motor mounts

Make sure your car doesn't have aftermarket mounts as it is. Usually you don't run a front mount with aftermarket ones, so double check that. It is REQUIRED that you have a front mount on OEM or OEM style mounts [or you'll destroy the new ones]

GO aftermarket lol. Less engine movement...

And requires no front mount. $299
97-01 Prelude Replacement Mount Kit

Or a full ESP set for $325
Explicit Speed Performance

^^ this.

OP, you need the upper and lower timing covers, as well as the bracket bolted to the head for the drivers side motor mount if you happen to have the H23 from an Accord.

Had to do this for both H23 Vtec's I helped swap.

Front, transmission and rear H22a4 (typical 5th gen mounts) will fit.
