Re: vtec

Have you sought counseling??? Problems start when your vtec gets louder then the vtec hitting starts.

Re: vtec

It doesn't sound like a problem, but I'm not a vtec engagement expert. Does anything else happen on the way to the redline?

Re: vtec

Did you change cams or valve train? Any reflashes? Check the screen for a clog??

Re: vtec

Any improvement? It looks as though its having a hard Time increasing rpms, possibly restricted exhaust or low fuel pressure..

Re: vtec

Sounds like a problem I commonly get, the bonnet latch bolts came loose once and sometimes people tape the middle part so its makes it fatter, I think the bonnet prop sometimes rattles too and when they're fixed the car is smooth as new :)

Re: vtec

Sounds like an exhaust problem. Vtec looks to be functioning properly from video but engagement was short as you backed off early.

Re: vtec

drop the exhause at the down pipe, let it get to operating temp so vtec engagement is how it should be and go for a quick drive, see if feels more normal. I know its gonna be very loud, but u should tell a considerable difference if it is a plugged exh.

Re: vtec

Sorry I should of read your post more thoroughly! Check the plug and lead on cylinder 3 first and Id suggest a compression check.
