Help! 3k rev limit after timing belt replaced?

About a year ago, I was coasting and my timing belt broke. Got pretty lucky and didnt bend any valves but, after i put new belts on she starts to spit and sputter around 2800-3000rpm. does anybody know what this could possibly be? I have dc 4-2-1 header with a test pipe, msd ignition, apexi vafc2 and possibly a skunk intake. The car ran perfect before i shredded this belt and I dont have a clue what the problem could be :/

Re: Help! 3k rev limit after timing belt replaced?

Check all the marks on the belts/gears that they're all in time correctly.

Than double check them.

Than triple check them.

Than quadruple check them.

See where I'm going with this??

The car is in limp mode could be a few different things however check your crank position sensor make sure it wasn't damaged when the belt broke or has some debris on it and check your timing as suggested above and make sure your distributor is TDC could cause it also.

Like Neck said, make absolutely sure that your timing is correct. Then make sure your plug wires are on in the right order.

Re: Help! 3k rev limit after timing belt replaced?

These symptoms don't immediately point to limp mode. There are other things at play here.
