h23vtec troubles help please

SO... I was priming my motor today, and sorta felt like my valve springs were going bad because they weren't returning on time. My question for you is this, should I take my cams out,(Skunk2 tuner series) or should they be fine? I have a Fear of dropping a valve and ruining all my hard work. How in depth will the changing of valve springs be. Will I have to get new head studs? I am on the edge of finishing, and am ready to drive the lude. and input will be greatly appreciated
