Power-Steering Pump Belt Question

Hello all,

About to have a mechanic-friend do my timing belt and head gasket. He's doing the labor and is cool with me supplying him the parts.

I am trying to cross my t's and dot my i's before handing over the parts, making sure that I have everything for him and I have this question. I've placed two orders with Majestic Honda for parts, and when I requested the following part, I got one with a different part number on it, and I'm wondering if its interchangeable or if it will fit on my 1997 Base Lude.

56992-P13-003 - Power Steering Pump Belt (Mitsuboshi)... is the part that I ordered for... on two different occasions.

56992-P13-505 - Power Steering Pump Belt... is the belt that I got in the mail, twice.

I'm wondering if these parts are one in the same? Because everywhere I check... The belt that I did get (56992-P13-505) seems to only fit the 1999-2001 models? Which wouldn't help by 1997 model lol.

Am I going crazy, or is there a big difference between the two belts?

Thanks guys. Let me know if you need more background info.

Re: Power-Steering Pump Belt Question

97-01 'ludes all use the same belt sizes, among nearly every other part.

the only exception with difference in parts is when it comes to suspension between SH and Base, as well as transmission between auto/base/SH. Seals, internals, body panels, belts, hardware etc is pretty much the same otherwise.

Re: Power-Steering Pump Belt Question

Thank you. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be handing my mechanic a belt that would be loose-fit or not adequate enough. I'm trying to stay as OEM as possible, haha. Thanks for your input for this newbie, lol.
