My first dyno pull with video!!

My first time on the dyno!!

Mod list is in the description. If youre too lazy to go read it, she made 188whp and 145wtq. I was pretty happy

THE CAR IS NOT TUNED YET. This seems to be causing some confusion.

Re: My first dyno pull with video!!

Well, as long as you're happy about the end result - don't take any offense to the comments that will more than likely follow :P

Did you lower your vtec crossover? Either it's set lower and was a smooth transition or it doesn't kick hard at all with your setup.

SH wheels and sides - are you really an SH? Please don't tell me you simply used an APEXI unit to tune... What management system was used?

Larger cams and a larger exhaust won't do you much good with those restrictors in between. (stock header and catalytic converter)

Just some questions since your end result was lower than expected.

I was just joshing the op. I didn't feel like searching his list since he told me if i was too lazy to read.. blah blah blah.

Dude, these guys here know their stuff. If they say purple crank bearings it's because that's what works.

Glad you are enjoying your gains and sharing with us.

Not really . . . stage 1 and 2 cams are fine on stock H22 compression. Always room for improvement, but they don't need higher compression.

well lets put it this way: you "have to" raise your compression to get everything out of those better cams

The car didnt actually get tuned that day. We happened to be at the shop checking up on my friends camaro and hes like "Hey while we're here we should dyno your car, ill pay." But in about a month or so I'm going back for a tune.

Nope! Its a base model. Just came that way when I bought it!

Hytech header and high flow cat coming soon (was planning on it anyway).

You will definitely yield better gains with the hytech replica header! Looking forward to the dyno. I'm lazy to see what your mods list are but I'll check it out sometime lol

Re: My first dyno pull with video!!

The idle is the same, I guess it doesnt change with stage 1. And for all you bums here you go:
Crower stage 1 cams
Stock airbox w/ K&N filter, resonator delete
2.5" custom exhaust with magnaflow muffer
Removed balancer shaft belt

Mods to come:
Port polish stock IM/throttle body
Hytech replica header
High flow cat

Well, congratulations on your first dyno pull. I would have like to get a freebie before all the work was done to my car. Such an exciting feeling, the first time.

this. You'll definitely feel gains from the hytech replica, just make sure you have spring retainers or bolts to hold the slip joints together. Mine blew apart when i hit vtec one day because i didn't have anything holding them together

Re: My first dyno pull with video!!

From what I've seen on other forum posts our cars are around 160hp give or take to the wheels bone stock. For the most part his car is stock and 188whp on the dyno current. Sounds like a solid upgrade to me.

conversation is changing thoughts and if nobody makes you think other possibilities its pretty pointless conversation..I like to question people, its not being mean, its making conversation and people to think

depends about the dyno - that does it count the powerloss or not.

usually its just total hp what they show. like when my car was stock and it was dynoed 194hp and THAT dyno show'd the powerloss and after that the numbers were 160hp

but not every dyno show/count that. they just show you the total numbers and not the numbers after powerloss. usually your (american) "whp" is just those total numbers

you should get them welded, mine vibrant leaked when using those springs - after welding - no problem
