wheel arches

I have a 2000 base and wheel arches in back are starting to rust pretty good-Thanks Illinois. Dealer cost for new quarters isn't an option and rust-free junkyard parts are almost non-existent without huge shipping charges. I've read on here somewhere that Mustang wheel arches are either close or fit the Lude. Can anyone tell me what year and model will fit?

Re: wheel arches

Are you referring to the rear quarter panel? I have never heard of a anything from a mustang compatible with a prelude really.

Re: wheel arches

I hadn't either Aced. I need the passenger rear wheel arch. I'd swear I read it on one of the thousands of posts on here.

Re: wheel arches

That's a tough one. I'm sure a skilled body guy could replace the sheetmetal if you can't find donor panels.

Re: wheel arches

I was at a body shop and they are very good but expensive, they cut the rust out and put new metal, try that route at a body shop

Re: wheel arches

i just did mine. i live and canada so rust got at it. me and a buddy cut out all the rusted metal and replaced it with new sheet metal. getting the piece to cut and fit perfect was a challenge but doable. you can tac-weld it in, or even use metal-glue if you fell like it. putty and sand til it is smooth with the rest of the body then paint. owrked out for me anyways and no one can tell i had work done to it. ... hardest piece was the inner lip part.

I assure you that they are not produced in Russia :)
I suspect op was talking about a Russian company
otherwise he would not have said russian company.
Maybe the Russian company gets them from Poland?
