Lowering Springs and Struts

Hey people! I was thinking about lowering my car and ive done the research of getting the struts with the springs. :P

SO, i found this ad
92-01 honda prelude kyb shocks w/eibach springs - $300 (hayward / castro valley)

And it doesn't look too bad.
He said it has about 20k-30k on them were used for like 2 years and sat for one year.
Is that bad?
How much longer do you think these could last?
If i went to go check them out, what should i look for as far as ware and tear?
Should i wiggle any pieces or anything? Haha, im a little lost, let me know what you think! :D good deal?

Re: Lowering Springs and Struts

Those aren't bad setup, i myself wouldn't pay for the asking price though. Don't pay $200-$250 tops and thats if they look good enough.
I personally went the coilover way and am now saving for some Megan EZ streets.

Re: Lowering Springs and Struts

Haha thanks guys, I mean I was planning on just throwing on springs on stock struts, because of the low budget. I know you guys will just recommend saving and buying it new or buy new struts with springs.

So you guys don't believe these are worth it? How long do you think it would last?

Re: Lowering Springs and Struts

Like i said as long as you don't pay the asking price their a good setup. 1.3 looks good on 4th gens its a nice sporty drop not to flush but not to high. Just offer him $200-$250(maybe this) if he really needs the money he will take it! And you don't get ripped off.

Re: Lowering Springs and Struts

i picked up koni yellows with neuspeed springs for $300 last weekend. i know they are used and in relatively decent condition so i picked them up till i can get myself a good set of coilovers.

Re: Lowering Springs and Struts

if theres nothing wrong with your current suspension DONT DO ANYTHING else than save up for nice new setup. youre just throwing money away if youre going to buy new kit anyway later

Re: Lowering Springs and Struts

there was one thing wrong with my current suspension and that is the fact that it is stock and if i like how the koni yellows with neuspeed springs work i will just replace the koni's when they are done.
