with NGK plugs should i get

i was thinking about getting NGK Double Platinum or IX iridium plugs and the Premium wire set in all it will cost about 70-80 bucks witch ones should i get or are there any others that are better also what is a better coil then stock that i can just drop in and not need to run new wires thank

EDIT- anyone ever hear of pulse plugs they are about $25 a pop but say they are 20,000x more power then normal plugs i was thinking of getting them but not to sure

I had NGK iridium spark plugs in my mustang and you can definately tell the difference. It adds about 10 HP, burns gas fully ( which is why they give you better gas mileage) making your car more responsive, picking up rpm's faster and just driving stronger. The iridium plugs can create a much much hotter spark, the platinums are supposed to do the same but most platinum plugs are platinum COATED not solid platinum so they're not as strong. So the difference is, one burns hotter than the other and creates a better hotter and stronger spark. I got NGK Iridium in my prelude right now and its help alot with gas and power all around. Next to come i think will be a new cap and rotor with some better wires and maybe even a new coil pack.

Yes. I'm one of the few people who own a set. I got them as a beta test before they were released. I'll break down my findings

Pros
-noticably more power across the whole power band
-picked up 1 MPG (their ads suggested I would get more, but I'm still better than I was)

Cons
-slightly taller than a regular plug, so your plug wires are no longer flush, which doesn't bother me anyway
-the threads were poorly made, so I STRONGLY recommend running a die over them so they'll twist right in without much effort

True, it's $100 for a set of 4, which is a lot more than the $10 you spend on NGK V Powers (the only other plug I'd really recommend) but you get more power and better milage. I've been running mine for over 5k and still no problems with the technology

I just had NGK iridiums, MSD wires, cap, rotor, and external coil. I definitely noticed more power, especially torque. I'll let you know about the mileage in about a month. Everything together cost me $214, I didn't feel like installing them my self (the mounting and wiring of the coil can be a pain) so that cost another $100. As long as the mpg gets better then it was definitely worth it.

Haha, nice...I would of gone with tailor wires though- i'm not sure if they Tailor makes wires for honda but tailor wires are better than MSD. I would say leave it like that for now and just let the changes sink in. Don't go crazy and start with intakes and exhausts and headers and blah blah blah!

I had Taylors on my Talon and my Trans Am. They are much better made than the MSDs. The wires shouldn't give you any more power than you had, unless the wires you had were bad.

its good to have them new though for the modes to come =P of course you've got to think of the size, the more power you're going to have the more fuel and spark you're gonna need and to connect it all together you're gonna need a thicker wire to transfer that detonation....i wish they made green MSD wires :P

I already have I/H/E, AEM pulleys, (thinking about switching to UnOrthodox though) ground wires, Hyper Voltage System, Fluidyne Radiator, Neuspeed rear sway (although I'm getting rid of it), upper front tower bar, used to have eibach springs.
