Idk what to do or where to start...

I went to buy high beam light bulbs for my prelude (as the previous owner told me that they needed to be changed) so i bought the bulbs and went to change them... i then find out that the wires and connectors on both sides for the high beams are gone... idk what to do.. I have checked my local junkyard and i cant find anything.. i will probably order the parts off of majestic honda but i cant read their diagram so idk what parts to specfically order... someone help pleasee...i cant keep driving in the dark with no hi's

The link by rocker22dallas will get you a 5th gen repair manual. Check the schematics there.
I haven't changed my bulbs but i do believe mine are dual use, ie high/low in the same bulb.

Edit: Nope now that I think about it there are two in my car. It was my son's 95 with dual use bulbs.
Majestic is fine if you don't have a junkyard with one.
Have you check the part outs/for sale here at pz?

I think you only need items #2 and #3 - socket and rubber cover. You have the harness/plug, just need the socket to attach it to.

Insert bulb into socket, insert bulb/socket assembly into headlight housing, close spring clip, attach rubber cover, and attach wiring harness.

To make it easy for you:

33116-SD4-961 - Socket $10.27
33126-SV4-003 - Rubber Cover $5.74

You need 2 each (one for each light).

Call your local Honda dealer and order those parts, and be sure to give them the above prices, otherwise they will charge you List Price. Every item I ordered from my local Honda when I was reviving my car, I gave them the "Majestic Price" and they honored it, otherwise they tried to charge me list.

i have both rubber covers for the headlights..its more the wiring and harness for it. If i took the car up to my local honda you think that they would be able to look at it and tell me what i need? and yeah i will tell them about the majestic price so i dont get hit with list price

Don't tell them it's the "Majestic Price." Simply tell them, "I need to order x, here is the part #, and the price is $, correct?" They see both prices on their screen. If they give you any beef, just say you can order it from another dealership for that price.

See my attached picture, it is your picture #1. You can see the parking/city light harness in another one of your pictures (passenger side light pic). You already have the high beam harnesses, you just need the sockets to attach it to so you can plug in your bulb.

Ohhhhhh im starting to get it now, ok good im starting to see all this come together haha. I got what you saying about the ordering thing. I work in sales so i know how to haggle a bit. But in general all i will need is just the socket? I have to check the other side to make sure its like this one, if its different i will shoot for getting the wiring and socket

(sorry if its starting to sound repetitive..im new to this stuff. But im open and willing to learn so every little bit is helping!)

Re: Idk what to do or where to start...

Well by looking at your pictures, you have both harnesses (driver and passenger side) for the high beams. You are missing the socket for the driver side parking/city light. That's what those open wires are. I would suggest capping or taping them off. Open wires (especially if they are live) are dangerous!!!

If you disconnect the harness from the low beam on either of your headlights, you will see the socket that I am referring to. Once you pull off the rubber cover, you will notice that it is held in by a gold/bronze colored spring clip (you can also see it in your 2nd picture). That is the part you need to order. It enables the harness to connect to the bulb itself.

The owners manual tells you when to change the oil, how to play a cd and some pretty basic stuff.
The repair manual tells you how to change your transmission, how to diagnose a check engine light code and other stuff your honda dealer charges you $65/ hr to figure out... including every inch of wiring.
