reverse lights always on

hey all, so today i decided i was finally going to clean the engine bay so i got some simple green and wrapped up the intake and fuse box and sprayed it all over and what not and then i let it sit for a little while and soak well i rinsed it off and thought everything went great.... well now when i turn on the car the reverse lights come on and do not go off in any gear and idk what went wrong, all the fuses under the hood are fine so i just dont understand, anyone have a clue or suggestion, much appreciated

Re: reverse lights always on

Sounds like the reverse switch -- on the transmission housing near the port for the timing light -- has gone bad or shorted.

Yeeeaaaaah. Soaking the engine bay could cause that, be more careful when you wash the engine and when you do, let it dry out before you start the car.

Re: reverse lights always on

May sound weird but reset your ECU.
Unplug your fuse for the radio for 20 seconds.

I had a problem like that when it rained really hard
