BB6 Type S Muffler, any reviews?

hey you guys know about my other post looking for an exhaust

http://www.hondaprelude.to/forums/sh...08-New-Exhaust

i came accross a BB6 Type S Muffler (USed) i saw a video on youtube it sounded alright not bad actually. anybody had personal experience with one? is this worth it>?(we havent set a price yet with buyer)

thanks guys

ps i'm also considering the skunk2, jspec said 570 for it but thats ALOT right now for me.

Re: BB6 Type S Muffler, any reviews?

Lol but its JDM!!!

Jk

but seriously, the only exhaust that I've ever seen in a Type R/Type S spec was the DC5 Integra Type R exhaust that had a pressure valve in the muffler that made it straight through at WOT and silenced it at part throttle.

ill give you a tip!

if you are going to buy a new exhaust, go for weld, no bolt on.... it will save you headaches in the future....

Better yet, v-band clamps. A fully welded exhaust is still a headache.

And it would be considered custom if it's not a bolt on...

OP:

As prelude1897 said, no difference, stock muffler.

There are plenty of options out there, just look for them. vibrant, magnaflow, greddy, skunk2, mugen, apexi - the list goes on.

you should definetly get your facts right before you open your mouth

USD Mugen Twin loop vs JDM Mugen Twin loop - Honda-Tech
JDM vs USDM Mugen Twin Loops exhausts - Honda-Tech
Mugen Twin-Loop Info..Straight From King Motorsports - Honda-Tech

usdm cat 2"
jdm cat 2,25"

so they had to do different b pipes for mugen exhausts considering for which continent they supposed to go

first of all, those threads are for the integra type r and second its Honda-tech. haha. Anyone with a half a brain knows that mugen is a Japanese manufacturer. You post a lot of misleading info on here. You remind of a typical Honda fan who goes by word of mouth and Honda-tech.lol. And NOO, their is no usdm mugen for the prelude. BTW, what does the type r have anything to do with the prelude?

you make no sense. their is no usdm mugen anything for the prelude. You keep putting these links that mean absolutely nothing. Now if your trying to say that mugen made pieces for certain acuras/Hondas for the U.S to meet our strict regulations, then yes (dc2, civic mugen si, etc.) But not for a prelude, which is the forums that we are on..

mugen exhaust has been optional in us right? us preludes have smaller cat than in japan so they have made exhaust which is direct bolt on to usdm preludes.

and in japan they have made it direct fit to japanese preludes which have bigger cat

the piping before the first resonator is different

No. Where do you come up with these things? Their was never an optional mugen exhaust for U.S preludes. Im just gonna stop now because your just kinda special..

He's correct in his response....

Mugen exhaust products are not USDM... they are jasma rated for the emissions and inspection of another market.
