I know it's been posted before....

Hey guys. I was thinking about going to take a look at this car....the only concern I have is reliability, what do you all think? Run it on low low boost and what else?

What should I look for and what advice do you have?

Re: I know it's been posted before....

it has a lip kit that is getting difficult to find, a wing that if legit mugen is impossible to find, is very clean, and has low miles. if it hasn't been ragged on I'd say that's a fair price. nothing you can check personally without doing some testing. Take it to a mechanic and have a compression and leak down test done. will cost you some money, but it will let you know if you have any major issues with the motor.

Re: I know it's been posted before....

Thanks man, yeah we have a local mechanic who would take a look at it. I'm just worried about buying a used turbo? Does that element of it look legit?

Re: I know it's been posted before....

I didn't see any engine pics........ after reading it again 15psi is too much for the stock block......... if the motor checks out with your mechanic, I'd buy the car and remove the turbo kit or lower the boost below 9psi.

If you have some extra money to fix the car in case of an emergency, I'd hop on it. If not, don't waste your time.

I would really want to run a low boost anyway to save some gas, I was thinking 5-7psi.

Re: I know it's been posted before....

I've seen this car for sale for at least a year now. There's gotta be something up cause if it really has that low miles and runs right, it should have been gone a long time ago. Definitely worth looking at though

Are there seriously no pics of the motor. Wow. There's a thousand of the same exterior ones.

But yea I've seen this one for sale before too.

Buy it!
