Thoughts on a Mugen replica front bumper?

Hey guys, so I was thinking about "Mugening" out my lude...wasn't for sure yet though and I'm still not. I mentioned it to my dad and turns out he surprised me with a Mugen replica front bumper from Duraflex. They claimed that this bumper was made of high quality materials but it's basically all fiberglass..kindof shi**y, and I'm gonna have to fit it myself..any thoughs on what I should do? Oh, and we can't return it by the way and I think my dad paid around $200 for it. What should I do? Put it on or no?

Re: Thoughts on a Mugen replica front bumper?

Just put it on. The real ones are fiberglass as well, and if you even find a legit one you'll end up paying over a grand for it....

Just install the damn thing. In this case, a replica is the best you're going to get unless you track down and dump A TON of money on a real one. There is no problem with a replica in this situation.

Re: Thoughts on a Mugen replica front bumper?

just do that replica. its a lot easier on your mind if you wreck a common $200 part as opposed to a super rare $1000+ part. both are fiberglass. worse case scenario is with the rep you might have to convince it to fit properly. mugen is stupid and a waste of money anyway. run of the mill parts that cost an arm and a leg because of a stupid name

Hey, Mugen's not stupid

I would have it painted and then install it. That is a really nice front bumper and sets the car off nicely. GOod luck

The lights are the same as the ones on a normal bumper. The difference is the "custom" way of mounting them, and that the original Mugen bumpers had covers for the fog/turn signal area.

Re: Thoughts on a Mugen replica front bumper?

just do it. i dont think there is anything wrong with mugen replica parts especially due to the fact that real ones are not only rare as **** and hard to come by but they cost way too much money for something that can get wrecked so easily
