would this subwoofer fit?

Hey there, Im looking around for a sub for my 5th gen Honda prelude mainly Rockford fosgate.

Im currently looking at this,

PUNCH Loaded Enclosures - P3-2X12 - Rockford Fosgate®

Dimensions: 15.125" x 33.875" x 15.75"
(38.4cm x 86cm x 40cm)

I love mean powerful bass :)

This will be a tight fit due to little trunk space I was hoping to maybe face it up or towards the driver?

other options could be one 12" or two 10"s. Not sure if it would have the same affect as two 12"s

any opinions appreciated Im new to car audio. cheers

Re: would this subwoofer fit?

Go measure the width between the two rear strut towers.

I doubt it, cuz I had 2 12's in my 4G in a non-ported box, and that ones ported which makes it wider.

Re: would this subwoofer fit?

something critical to think about is also will it fit thru the opening of the trunk. I have a single 12 inch kicker L7 in the solobaric ported box and it will barely fit. I have to wedge it in a certain way, and then rotate it to face the to the rear

also, damn, 600 bucks? Find a friend who works at Best Buy and get Kicker gear for 1/3 of retail

Re: would this subwoofer fit?

Rockford fosgate is junk now days. Get better quality subs. JL Kicker alpine memphis Pheonix gold, etc. In ur car u only need 1 sub (custom boxes tho expensive are always best) and drive it with a good amp.

Re: would this subwoofer fit?

Don't buy a box off the shelf. it's all pretty simple do some math and buy some mdf (birch if you want to spend the money) and build two custom boxes so you can get it in the trunk then build a cover plate that you can carpet. or just take it to a car audio shop and pay them to build it. it ain't cheap but the end product will look and sound better. customize it to your setup and you'll be that much happier. Also sealed boxes are better for SQ if you want loud as hell port three tens in a c shape and throw the watts to them. those Rockfords can handle some power.

Re: would this subwoofer fit?

Also, FWIW, my first two systems in the lude were 2 12's in a non ported box.
After they both blew up, I switched to 1 12 in a ported box, which hits alotttttt harder than the previous setups.

So size (and/or quantity) aren't everything
