Icon5 Looking at getting a Prelude.

I've been looking around for a prelude and I found this one and not sure if its a good deal. And I was wanting to know where I could find some decently cheap full coil overs.

Re: Looking at getting a Prelude.

canadian perhaps? didn't think usdm had heated seats at all much less in 97...
minty fresh for sure but $5600 is about $200 over retail with 115k. if you want it, go for it.

check maintenance records like 88 said. timing belt due at 60k?..check for typical h22 oil leaks around the top of the motor. check the tailpipe outlet. should be clean or some black.

if ya wanna mess with the guy smell the dipstick. oldest trick in the book to get the price down a little. a car with 94k miles will have a bit of gasoline smell in the oil. if it's a typical used car salesman he won't know that. ya tell him dude this motors gonna blow any day.. you smell the gas? rings shot. then tell him you'll give him like $5195 and call yourself stuck.

i'd buy it but not for $5600. if you finance and you have no credit they'll give you like 28% interest for as much as 5 years. you'll end up paying 10 grand!!
show him 50- $100 bills and you'll likely drive it home that day!

check for the red key! or a spare chipped 1. without the red key no spare to start the car possible for less than $500..
