98 Prelude Sh oil leak

I moved my car last night to the middle of the driveway and there was no leak from where i moved from. This morning drive my car to school and when i got home noticed there was a puddle of oil on the ground. Put more oil in there to see where the leak was coming from and i noticed it was leaking from the piece that is connected to the oil filter. From that piece in between the motor and that piece that is connected to the oil filter.

Re: 98 Prelude Sh oil leak

Exactly what it is. Go on majestic honda and order it or go to your local Honda dealer will cost more but if you can't wait for the shipping that's your best bet. Local auto parts stores liek Autozone and those don't have it. Might as well replace your VTEC solenoid gasket, distributor gasket, valve cover, valvecover spark plug seals or have them whenever you need them. Big price difference from your local Honda dealer to Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store

Yeah it's the Oil Cooler O-Ring, it's around 5 dollars at the dealership and very easy to fix (I did however need a breaker bar for mine).
You get a nice new oil filter and oil now also so not alll bad came from this.

Re: 98 Prelude Sh oil leak

just go to Ace hardware or any other hardware store and pick up a new O ring. It's cheaper than going to honda
