Icon5 Rad leak at rusty bottom fitting - Pic

Hi, first time I've had to post because I couldn't find my solution but the info here has been top-notch!

I recently saw drips of coolant occasionally on my driveway, and found it only happens when the car is fully warm. It's coming from a small rusty fitting next to the lower rad hose, further to the right on the bottom of the rad. I took the Pic lying under the rad, and it shows the leaky part on the right, and the lower rad hose clamp to the left. Is this a fitting, or did the rad just happen to crack right near the mount?

Don't think it's the lower rad hose, most of the drip is form the fitting on the right and I recently replaced the hose
clamp.

I think I need a new rad - is there a reason to get the $180 copper/brass core vs. $130 aluminum core?

Thanks!

i think one of main reasons for a different type of core is the temperature change. one will absorb heat faster or slower. but since you aren't racing the car? aluminium should be fine.

I could be completely wrong as well but it makes sense in my mind.
goodluck!
