Factory alarm question

Recently I found this connector in the picture. Helms manual says it's a connector for the optional factory alarm system. Im guessing it's where the horn connected that sat in the bay. Does anyone have the factory alarm? If so if you can please take a picture of the horn and how it is mounted inside the bay with that connector. Curious on how they mounted the horn. Would I be able to cut off that connector and use those 2 wires to connect a aftermarker horn? Im needing to relocate my horn since the installers put it right where the clutch fluid resivour goes and since Im doing my swap soon I need to move it and get it out of the way before I do it. Thanks

trace it, see where it goes (if possible)

til then cover it with tape or something to keep dirt out.

Re: Factory alarm question

I traced it and it just goes into the bigger wire loom that it's taped to in the picture. And they put my horn actually on the bracket that it bolts up to.

Re: Factory alarm question

I ordered another horn that's much better then the crappy one they gave me. It was a single tone horn and I ordered a 6 tone horn thats small enough to put it away from the bracket.

Re: Factory alarm question

That connector is for the Security System Option Harness. This harness is for the optional siren, and hood switch.

I have the OEM alarm and the option harness with the horn and hood switch. I will post pics.

Re: Factory alarm question

And thanks! Didn't know there was a hood switch too.
