Transmission Problems?

Okay, first things first, I got a 99 Type SH and I recently replaced the clutch and flywheel. I've noticed that when I'm shifting gears it feels a bit stiff especially in second gear, it almost feels like gear grind but I'm not sure. It's hard to get into first unless I'm at a complete stop and it just doesn't feel right when I shift.

This is my first time driving manual so I'm not sure what's going on and if I'm even driving it right (I think I am....).

And yes I'm pressing the clutch in all the way so unless it doesn't fully disengage, I don't know.

Re: Transmission Problems?

i was just gonna post about tranny problems so im gonna just use yours if you dont mind ik how irritated ppl get around here for making multiple.... so i had some chick back up into my car at school so that great and all but i was driving it back from the body shop who fixed it and i went to turn onto a road goin to downshift to 4th and it was locked out so i tried 3rd, nothin by that time i was goin like 20 so i pulled off the road tried 1st still locked up so i let the clutch out in neutral to see if it would let me go into 1st but instead it stalled out... no idea what the hell is goin on called the insurance company an their gonna see whats up but i need professional "preludezone" opinions please and thank you

Re: Transmission Problems?

it could probably be your shift linkage but i might have narrowed my issue to a broken clutch i went to engage the clutch while in reverse(car off) to push it out of the way and it wouldnt budge like it was in gear still. is it just a cable that could have broken or do i need a whole new clutch

Re: Transmission Problems?

Ahhh, I know what it's like. got a decent clutch + flywheel kit off eBay for like 150 + 50 shipping, so if you're looking at a cheap one, look it up.

Re: Transmission Problems?

AlexMightHaveAHonda: yes, check the tranny fluid. the clutch's resivor might be showing a good amount but there might be air bubles in the lines. one other thing might be is that you might have not alinged the clutch correctly.
