Real mugen doesn't use the holes. It is attached using clips.

If it doesn't fit the holes, fill them in and drill new ones. The old ones will rust...

Not the best picture but the clips hook to the black strips on both side to the trunk lid

The clips are in the bag

Re: Mugen/type s Wing/spoiler to cover up trunk holes

So the Mugen uses clips, and the Mugen replica uses the same holes. The Type s spoiler fits directly into the old oem holes? Also where could I find one of these in nordic mist?

Using the same holes, it mounts right up. At least that's what I garner from the Japanese instructions

But then again I don't have it mounted yet so I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but the Japanese directions don't show anything about making new holes. Chris has mounted his he would be the one to ask to make sure.

Re: Mugen/type s Wing/spoiler to cover up trunk holes

From what i have seen the real mugen doesn't re use the oem spoiler holes. It has 2 metal strips and 4 clips that are used to mount the spoiler. The metal strips run down the side of the trunk lid and 2 clips go on each side. The clips have bolts in them which is used to tighten the spoiler to the trunk lid by pinning the trunk lid between the strip on the wing and the strip that runs on the under side of the trunk lid so you don't scratch up the inside of the trunk lid. It also comes with 3m tape to secure the middle of the spoiler to the trunk lid. If you look at the bottom of the blue spoiler you will notice that there is no place to screw a bolt in like on the bottom of an oem spoiler. These are the clips that hook the mugen spoiler to the trunk lid.

I'll find out for sure when I mount mine, won't be much longer

The mugen replica fits the holes of the oem spoiler.

Re: Mugen/type s Wing/spoiler to cover up trunk holes

I have a wings west one and it fit wit no problem. Any shop that paints the spoiler should have some bolts to install it.
This is a better picture of how the real mugen spoiler is installed. You can see the oem spoiler holes that are not being used. You can order direct from wings west.com or vis racing.com they are now the same company or have a local car shop that sells body kits and stuff order it for you.

Good luck with that. If you do find one it's gonna cost you. They are selling for $1000.00 and up depending. I know one guy who was asking $1600.00 for a brand new one..

I thought you were looking for an original. You can find replica's for relatively cheap.

No it doesn't block the rear view mirror at all. After awhile you don't even notice it anymore.
