OEM Speaker Replacement

So my front passenger speaker has essentially blown and any song with a bit of bass sounds like crap. I've found someone local to sell me their OEM front Prelude speakers for cheap. I was just wondering if I could directly take out and replace the passenger speaker on the spot without removing the door panel? I know the cover will come off - is this enough to remove and replace the speaker?

I have no problem with my driver side speaker so I figure this is a way to save a few bucks and still retain the sound I want. Any input/suggestions/experience?

Re: OEM Speaker Replacement

yes...pop the cover off and take out the 3 screws for the speaker then unplug it...i really don't think you need to make a thread for this...it's kinda common sense that when you look at.........take out the screws then see if it comes out. in the time it took you to make a thread and read this reply you could have it out and back in.

Re: OEM Speaker Replacement

How do you mess it up? it is more simple then even CHECKING your oil...not even changing.

Re: OEM Speaker Replacement

the speaker cover just pops off. and as stated before 3 screws and a plug. i felt really stupid when i had my door panel half way off and the speaker cover fell off in the process. made me facepalm.

Just wanted to confirm everything before I made the transaction next week. Thanks for everyone's responses.
