Headlight Adjustment

Here comes another super noob question

Trying to adjust my headlights vertically (99 prelude). I can barely see 20 yards out.
I've looked all over google and other forums and still cant figure it out. A video or even pictures would really help. Sorry, this is my first car Im a nooby.

Re: Headlight Adjustment

Well you can see the adjustment wheels in the pictures. Easiest to see in the top picture. The wheel is just below and right of center in the picture (the silver, round object with the screw in the center). Just take a long philips screwdriver and turn it (from the top). You can see the teeth in the wheels that the screwdriver head will grab to turn it.

I tried that :(
I turned it both ways and nothing changed horizontally or vertically.

Re: Headlight Adjustment

It moves very slowly. Park 10 feet away from a wall, turn your headlights on, and turn the adjustment wheel. It will start moving.

You may not notice anything until you have turned the wheel 5-10 complete turns.

I know this is was 2 years ago... what did you do with the headlights? I have the same exact issue but I have a warranty on them still.

Reviving old threads is a good thing in cases like this.
You coulda added to the clutter by starting a new one. But you seemingly searched instead.

Re: Headlight Adjustment

The shop manuals are here on the site. Poke around the sticky notes at the top of the page. Big files and quite a few but they are invaluable.
