Feels good...

to have finally replaced my v-tec solenoid gasket and my oil cooler o-ring. :) If anyone is leaking oil and it appears to be coming off the bottom of the tranny it will most likely be your v-tec solenoid or distributor gasket. Easy fix except for the annoying oil cooler o-ring not wanting to stay on the oil cooler ring when trying to screw the 30mm bolt into the block, also all I used was a 30mm 1/2inch drive socket from Sear's. Also did an oil change while at with Pennzoil platinum. I also bought valve cover gasket and oil well seals and cam cap plug and distributor seal, all from Honda. The two gaskets I replaced were DONE, I bent them and it literally sounded like a twig snapping.

Only down side was that I barely replaced my tires during summer and toe was eating the inside of my tires :/ haven't messed with suspension, yet other than I got new rims. SO my rule of thumb now is Even if your just changing your rims 1 inch or wider ALIGN your car. I got a 3 year unlimited alignment service too :) since I'll be changing my suspension soon and months from now I'll be replacing a lot of my front suspension components.

So to sum it up.
-Leaking oil? FIX it.
-Messed with any suspension components? Get your car aligned. I believe your "suppose" to align your car every 5,000 or every time you get new tires anyway.

I'm just happy I(hopefully) won't be leaking oil anymore.

Re: Feels good...

I feel you man! 2-4 drops of oil would leak onto my drive way, It looked like it was coming out of my tranny but it didn't look like Honda MTF so I was scared thinking it could be my main seal. Glad that's no the problem. Where is the leaking coming from? oil pan, oil filter, or etc?

Re: Feels good...

Timing belt area. Changed oil pan gasket thinking it was that and nope. Checked cam seals dry as a,bone. The timing belt was dry of any oil. Thinking its my main seal or something down there

Re: Feels good...

Yeah that's another one that may be leaking. I may just tackle everything on that side at once when I pull out my engine to do my 5spd swap.
